Dr Marc Faber, one of the foremost intellects of economy in the past 40 years has been taken down by a delusional mass media for a statement he made in his article Free Markets and Capitalism versus Socialism in the October 2017 Gloom, Boom & Doom Report, calling him a racist.

The statement by Marc Faber can be described as a politically incorrect statement – one can agree with it or not. If one is not allowed to make statements about different groups of people and their abilities or characteristics anymore, where does the world go? Needless to say that the media calling Faber a racist did not even mention the context and the gist of the article mentioned above. Whether I personally agree with Faber’s statement is of no importance in this discussion.
Why should anything be politically correct? – Wouldn’t it make more sense to judge a statement based on its correctness alone?
The vast majority of the media is obviously of the opinion that political correctness is the benchmark for everything. According to the mainstream media, any statement has to reach that benchmark in order to be heard or accepted by the media and by the people. Whether the content of the statement is complete rubbish does not seem to impact its quality as long as it is politically correct.
Furthermore, mass media want to make people believe that political correctness is something good. What value does the term “political” add to correctness? Politics in human history has been and until today still is – together with organized religion – the main source of destruction, death, war, and enslavement of mankind. Therefore, any sensible person should raise his/her eyebrows when he/she hears the adverb “politically” in conjunction with a positive adjective, such as “correct”.
Notwithstanding the fact that I personally do not hold President Harry S. Truman in high regard, he made a rather ingenious statement about political correctness in September 1945, a few days after the end of WWII. In a telegram to General MacArthur, Truman stated the following:
Political Correctness is a doctrine, recently fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and promoted by a sick mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a piece of shit by the clean end!
One can assume that the people creating this shit-storm over Faber have not even read the article in full, because I doubt that their intellect allows them to follow and comprehend more than 45 seconds of sound and movie snippets. An „in-depth“ analysis of anything at, e.g. CNBC, takes maybe two minutes. The ad
breaks thereafter take longer. Therefore, it obviously takes more time to persuade a human being to buy a new soft drink than to explain, e.g., why a USD 20 trillion budget deficit of the US is absolutely dandy.
Anybody, who knows Faber personally or has read his extensive work for more than two paragraphs, must be aware of the fact that to call him a racist is nothing else than calumny. I have not met many people who are that liberal in their thinking.
The real reason why the mainstream media are trying to deconstruct Faber can be found in his personality and his approach to question bullshit, as aired and printed by the mainstream media – and jealousy that he is at the same time leading a very independent life.
I have high hopes that people will see the cheap approach of his attackers and react accordingly – by not watching trash media anymore and tell media in general in a very kind and politically correct manner to fulfil their duty and act as the fourth estate, or – to fuck off.

Für mich hat Marc Faber durch seine Art die Dinge beim Namen zu nennen an Statur gewonnen…
Wenn jemand für sein Recht seine eigene Meinung zu vertreten auf Millionen an Einnahmen verzichtet zeugt das von Charakter. Ich glaube nicht dass irgendeiner seiner Kritiker genausoviel Rückgrat hätte.

JEDE PERSON die nicht orchestrated ist und es vorzieht seinen gesunden Menschenverstand walten zu lassen und able is at the same time leading a very independent life wird angegriffen um ihn “ zu bodigen“,Ich hatte Gelegenheit Marc Faber mit seiner liebenswürdigen Familie zu begegnen und war beeindruckt von der Aura den diese charmante, ruhige Familie umgab.
Es ist nachvollziehbar , wenn dieses Finanzgenie mit seinem unerhörten Weitblick auch mal die Geduld verliert und die unbequeme Wahrheit ausspricht.
Hoffe sehr, dass ihm in keinster Weise Schaden zugeführt werden kann.

– has an experience of many decades in economic issues
– is too honest to tell completely untrue stories
– has growing doubts that Bloomberg and CNBC are providing the real facts about economy and financial markets.So, what to do with someone, who is able to convince a large number of spectators that the financial world is orchestrated by a hollywood-like spectacle ?

Was sollen die englischen Beiträge von deutsch-sprachigen Autoren auf einer deutsch-sprachigen Seite? Nicht der deutschen Sprache Kundige werden sich hier kaum herumtreiben.
In der Sache stimme ich dem weitgehend zu, nur die „high hopes“, dass sich daran etwas andern wird, kann ich nicht teilen. Es sind eben hier nicht nur ein paar „delusional nitwits“ am Werke, sondern eine das Establishment beherrschende Bewegung, der Gutmenschen-Faschismus. „Keine Toleranz den Intoleranten“ heißt das Leitmotto, und damit meinen die Gutmenschen natürlich nicht sich selbst sondern den Andersdenkenden. Freie Meinung wird stigmatisiert und wenn möglich gar kriminalisiert. Von diesem Bann-Strahl wurde jetzt auch Dr. Doom getroffen und wir werden sein Schwyzer Englisch nie mehr auf CNBC & Co hören. -

Das Problem liegt ja auch darin, dass man, wenn man sich politisch korrekt ausdrückt, als moralisch über einer Sache stehend wahrgenommen wird, während ein politisch Inkorrekter als befangen und unreif gilt. Diese Wahrnehmung schiesst weit über das Ziel hinaus. Natürlich möchte man niemanden unnötig verletzen oder keinen Hass schüren, doch bei der Benennung von Problemen geht es nicht, stets um den heissen Brei herumzureden; man muss die Argumentation auch abschliessen und sagen, wie man die Realität wirklich sieht.
Politische Korrektheit ist eine Form der Unterdrückung anderer Meinungen. Viele Intellektuelle von heute bedienen sich dieses Mittels und verstecken sich hinter komplizierten Theoriegebäuden, die längst den emotionalen Kontakt zur Realität verloren haben. Neue populäre Philosophen braucht es, die klar reden können und nicht nur für ein paar hundert Eingeweihte zugänglich sind. Sie müssen im Austausch mit der breiten Bevölkerung stehen und sich auch von dieser inspirieren lassen. Dass dies früher einmal so war und heute nicht so ist, sehe ich als eine bedauerliche Verschwendung intellektueller Ressourcen an. Fehlt diese intellektuelle Meinungsführerschaft in einer Gesellschaft, ist es kein Wunder, dass sich extremere Bewegungen eigene Sichtweisen suchen, die gar nicht mehr auf die Intellektuellen hören und dabei natürlich auch unnötig politically incorrect werden—was die Bewegung der Political Correctness natürlich umso mehr anheizt.
